H-1B Processing Fees 2023

The total cost of applying for an H1B visa varies between $1,700 to $6,500 in 2023. The only fee paid before an employee enters the H1B lottery is the $10 registration fee. However, the exact amount will depend on variables like optional premium processing fees, attorney fees, and position details.

We highly recommend consulting our immigration lawyers to conduct a thorough case evaluation before entering the lottery to ensure you meet the qualifications.

The detailed filing fee is listed below:

  • Registration fee - $10 (Paid by employer)

  • The standard fee for the I-I129 petition, transfer costs, refillings, H1B amendments, and renewals - $460 (Paid by employer)

  • ACWIA training fee - $750 (<25 employers); $1,500(>25 employers) (Paid by employer)

  • USCIS Fraud Prevention & Detection fee - $500 (Paid by employer)

  • Public Law 114 - 113 fee (applicable for companies with >50 employers and half on H1B or L1 status) - $4,000 (Paid by employer)

  • Optional fee: Premium processing - $2,500 (Paid by employer or employee)
